Maxcine Patricia Ross, fondly known as "Max", was born on September 25, 1958 to Howard and Mary Louise Morris. She peacefully entered eternal rest on Tuesday, January 18, 2022. Maxcine was the fourth of fourteen children. At an early age, she accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior. She was a member of the Little Zion Baptist Church until she was called home. She was called and appointed as a Deacon at Little Zion. She was in training and was due to go through ordination soon. She served on multiple ministries within the church to include, Nursing Ministry, Choir Ministry, Willing Worker Ministry, Hospitality Ministry, Decoration Committee and MLK Committee. She was a devoted participant and served on the Intercessory Prayer Ministry on Saturday Mornings. She was an avid bible reader and spent many hours in prayer. Maxcine was educated and graduated from Powhatan High School in 1978. She enjoyed working with all people, as she was a Physical Therapist for over 30 years. She then began teaching at Workshop Way Preschool and found a love with the interactions from the children. She received her Certification for Teaching (Child Development Associate) on April 23, 2021 from the National Credentialing Program - Child Savers. In 1984, Maxcine married the love of her life, Frank Ross. Out of the beloved union, they reared three children. She loved spending time with family and especially having cookouts to eat the delicious food prepared by her loving husband, "Frank the GrillMaster". She enjoyed shopping and decorating, but especially loved being a caring and attentive NANA to her grandchildren and great grandson. She was preceded in death by: her husband of 37 years, Frank M. Ross; grandson, Cornelius Ross, Jr.; brothers, Willie and Edward Morris and significant uncle, Ernest Boatwright. Maxcine leaves to cherish her memories: three children, Antonio "Tony" Morris (Torri) of Powhatan, Shelba Morris of Powhatan and Cornelius Ross (Stephanie) of Goochland; six sisters, Pauline Smothers, Paulette Taylor, Paula Morris, Geraldine Morris, Alethea Morris and Theresa Morris; five brothers, Michael Morris, Harold Morris, Howard Morris III, Paul Morris and Gearld Morris; thirteen grandchildren; one great-grandson; two brothers-in-law and eight sisters in-law; devoted sisters, Paula and Theresa Morris and Audrey Ross; devoted friends, Lula Clarke, Helen Brown, Sister Beulah Martin and Sister Maureen Carroll and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Wonderful Legacy Of Which We Wish To, Tell About A Wonderful Woman That We Love So Well Her Strength Lives Within Us And Grows Stronger Each Day Her Honor Lingers Though She Has Slipped Away We Miss The! Sound, Of Her Laughter In Her Style Lectures Too! We Miss Hearing Her Say I Love You She Fought A! Good Battle Then Gave Up The, Fight To Rest In, The Arms Of! Jesus What A Beautiful Sight In Our Hearts Her Memory Will Always Stay Nothing Could Ever Take Her Remembrance Away. Love You! Children & Grandchildren
