Maxcine Ross Obituary

Maxcine Patricia Ross, fondly known as "Max", was born on September 25, 1958 to Howard and Mary Louise Morris. She peacefully entered eternal rest on Tuesday, January 18, 2022.

Maxcine was the fourth of fourteen children. At an early age, she accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior. She was a member of the Little Zion Baptist Church until she was called home. She was called and appointed as a Deacon at Little Zion. She was in training and was due to go through ordination soon. She served on multiple ministries within the church to include, Nursing Ministry, Choir Ministry, Willing Worker Ministry, Hospitality Ministry, Decoration Committee and MLK Committee. She was a devoted participant and served on the Intercessory Prayer Ministry on Saturday Mornings. She was an avid bible reader and spent many hours in prayer.

She then began teaching at Workshop Way Preschool and found a love with the interactions from the children. She received her Certification for Teaching (Child Development Associate) on April 23, 2021 from the National Credentialing Program - Child Savers.

In 1984, Maxcine married the love of her life, Frank Ross. Out of the beloved union, they reared three children. She loved spending time with family and especially having cookouts to eat the delicious food prepared by her loving husband, "Frank the GrillMaster". She enjoyed shopping and decorating, but especially loved being a caring and attentive NANA to her grandchildren and great grandson.

She was preceded in death by: her husband of 37 years, Frank M. Ross; grandson, Cornelius Ross, Jr.; brothers, Willie and Edward Morris and significant uncle, Ernest Boatwright.
