Obituary of Stevenson Jerome Hobson

Stevenson "Jerome" Hobson was born November 21, 1952 in Cumberland County, Virginia to Annie Hobson Montague.
At an early age he gave his life to Christ and became a member of Rocky Mount Baptist Church. Later in life, he started his fellowship with his wife at New Life Assembly of God.
He attend Luther P. Jackson School. In 1990 he attended Richmond Technical Center where he received his carpentry license.
In 1975, he married Tanny Ann Trent of Cumberland, Virginia. In 1979, they became the proud parents of a son, Brad.
Jerome was employed at Phillip Morris for 13 years. He used his carpentry skills at several construction companies. His last place of employment was with Covance Research Company.
Jerome was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He cherished all of his family and friends. He was well known and respected in his community. He had a passion for life and enjoyed doing home projects.
He leaves to cherish found memories; his wife, Tanny Ann Hobson; a son, Brad S. Hobson, Sr (Rashanda); 3 grandchildren, Brad "BJ" Hobson, Jr., Nevaeha "Na" Hobson, and Justin Coleman; His parents , David and Annie Montague; 2 sisters, Lori Lindsey (Chris), Lynnie Adrian (Pedro); 1 aunt, Evelyn Montague; grandmother, Pearl Smith; 3 devoted cousins that he considered as sisters, Linda Trent, Reba Jarrett and Joan Bland; 4 sisters-in-law, Shirley Johnson (Frank), Bessie Walker, Cornelia Childress, and Linda Jones (Willie); 4 brothers -in-law, Henry Trent (Mildred), Willie Trent (Linda), James Trent ( Portia) and Andrew Trent (Reginia) and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
