Please share a memory of Hazel to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Hazel Janet Crump peacefully entered into eternal peace at the age of 56, on Saturday afternoon, April 23, 2011. She was born on May 29, 1954 to the late Franklin and Luvenia Robinson. She is also preceded in death by one sister, Pauline Mosby and one brother George Robinson. Hazel attended Chapel Hill School in Goochland, VA and Central High School in Goochland, VA. She leaves to celebrate her life and to cherish her memories; her husband of 30+ years Ernest Crump; three children, Timothy Robinson (Leslie), Harold Crump (Terrell), and James Crump; six grandchildren, Toy, Caitlyn, Kellie, Akeria, Jordyn, Hallie, Brandon and Jaden; four brothers; Frank Robinson ( Mary), John Robinson ( Carol), Ernest "Paul" Robinson (Martha) and Clifford "Gene" Robinson; five sisters, Lillie Thornton ( James), Rosa Robinson (Laurie), Earline Carter (Alvin), Jearline Jenkins, and Ella Robinson (Howard); three sisters-in-law, Catherine Bolling (Sam), Constance Sims and Lucille Robinson; seven brothers-in-law, James Crump (Carrie), Robert Crump (Estelle), Charles Crump, Spencer Crump (Barbara), Joe Crump, Aaron Crump (Shelia), and Ulysses Crump; one aunt, Louise James and one devoted friend, Martha, along with a host of nieces, nephews, and other family and friends. Hazel was a dedicated and loving mother, grandmother, sister, auntie and friend. She had a fantastic sense of humor and always had a smile on her face whenever you saw her. No matter how she felt she always tried her best not to let anyone know how she was really feeling, not wanting others to worry for her, cause in the end she always knew that God was in control and he would Provide! Hazel was a spirited, strong-willed woman, who loved to have fun but most important was a fighter! She loved spending time with her family especially her sisters for their birthday luncheons. She was a dedicated Dallas Cowboys fan regardless of their season, she loved her Cowboys and wanted anything that had the Blue star lined in Silver on it. Hazel joined Antioch Baptist Church in Goochland, VA at an early age, she later changed her membership to New Hope Baptist Church in Cartersville, VA, where she was crowned the 2011 NAACP Queen, but above all, she was saved and is now resting in the arms of Jesus.
