Beatrice was born July 4, 1913 at home in Cumberland, Virginia to Lee and Sarah Brown.
Beatrice attended school in Cumberland. At an early age, she joined Rocky Mount Baptist Church. Beatrice moved to White Plains, New York until 1944 and then she returned home to Cumberland. In 1961, she relocated to Newark, New Jersey. She spent the last several years at New Vista Home in Newark, New Jersey.
Beatrice worked in the field of domestic.
She had five children; one preceded her in death, Mary Brown.
Beatrice leaves to cherish her memories; three sons, Deacon Robert Lee Brown (Jimmie) of Cumberland, Virginia, Thomas and Larry Dickerson of Newark, New Jersey; one daughter, Sarah Brown-Sims of Newark, New Jersey; twenty-seven grandchildren, seventy-seven great-grandchildren, twenty-seven great-great- grandchildren and numerous other relatives and friends
