What we'd give if we could say...Hey what's up papa, in the same old way

To hear your voice, see your smile; To sit with you and chat a while.

So those of you who have your husband and

father, cherish him with care.

For you'll never know the heartache,

Till you see his vacant chair.

Love Always,

Your Wife, Children, Grandchildren,

and Great-grandchildren

Here Today Gone Today

Did not know the day would come so fast

Thought sooing & playing & joking with you would always last

Now it's a memory of days gone past.

But I will always love you no matter who what or where

Whenever we needed you, always you were there

Up and down the roads you would go

Anytime you would pop up when no one would know

Always dedicated to the jobs you did

It was done your way no matter what was said

The courage to take a challenge of any kind

With no reason or vision of how long the time

Any job you were willing to take

No matter how your back it would break

Everyone had to help with the chore

Under your instructions and way for sure

You were the boss of things everyday

And got your feathers ruffled when it was not your way

Would give anyone the shirt off your back

Don't mind fussing to keep everyone on track

Farewell my brother I know you're heaven bound

You slipped away from us without a sound

You shed the weight without losing a pound

I know one day we will see you around.

Ladybug

You were my light in many dark places

came to my rescue in so many cases

taught me things no one else could

showed me ways no one else would

Could depend on you in many ways

No matter the time or the days

Helped me to get to JMU

when time for college had come due

I still know how to hold that drill

and you are the thanks for that skill

showed me how to hit that nail

with one or two blows with a hard whail

Thanks for being the best you could be

you made such a impact and change in me

I wanted to tell so the world could see

you said the examples for us to carry on the love

especially knowing we have a new angel above

You gave me the name of ladybug

Even when I wanted to go you would lug

this name is special from you and aunt Ann

I know you both had this name planned

especially now each time I hear the word ladybug

I will think of you and feel a warm heavenly hug
