Marvin Rondell Cousins affectionately known as Ronnie or "Cuz," was born in Powhatan County to Frank Cousins Sr., and Lillie Ross Cousins on June 19,1954. He was the second of four children. He accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized and joined Mt. Calvary Baptist Church. Ronnie "Cuz" attended Powhatan County Public School and he held various jobs over the years, but Kroger was his most famous and loving job for many years until he retired in 2019. On July 12, 1980, he married Pamela Ellen Carter and from that union they were blessed with two children: Taurean "TC" and Aaron "AJ" Cousins. Ronnie "Cuz" was a kind and loving person. He loved spending time with his family and friends. Some of his favorite hobbies were fishing, hunting, and drag racing. He was a member of the 684 Hunting Club for many years. Cuz attended many car shows and loved the Chevrolet brand, especially his Chevrolet Caprice Classic Brougham. One of his famous sayings was "Everything works but the driver." He loved his boat, "The Rusty Hook." His boat mechanics were Nick Payne, Paul Parrish and Curtis Ross Jr. Cuz really enjoyed fishing and among his fishing buddies were his sister, Debbie Cousins, Paul Parrish, and Curtis Ross, Jr. No matter who or what he had some work for "you" to do if you stopped by. Whenever he was asked how he was feeling, Cuz would reply "I feel with my hands." In later years, he developed another hobby making children's toys into music boxes. It was never a dull moment between his oldest son TC "Turbo," as his dad would call him. Because everyone knew how TC and his dad would have it out. His younger son AJ was known as "Little Buddy" to his dad. Another famous saying for Cuz was, "Right on driver" when he ended a phone call. He loved his southern soul music. His sister Debbie would greet him with, "Hey Marvo." He loved both his grandsons. His Big Buddy "TJ" was his heart. Cuz and Big Buddy would listen to old school music all the time. He would feed him sweets all the time no matter what. He would give him York Peppermint patties and Cheetos. Cuz gave both of his grandson nicknames, Darius Owens was "Big D," and Taurean "TJ" Cousins was called, "Big Buddy."
