Naomi Beatrice Jackson was born on October 27, 1945, to Charles Jackson and Isabelle Stovall Jackson in Riverhead, Long Island, New York. Naomi attended Powhatan County Public Schools and studied nursing and childcare at John Tyler Community College.
She was a dedicated employee and worked for the Powhatan County Public School System for forty-five years. She will be remembered by the many young lives she touched as the Pocahontas Elementary School nurse, especially when it was time to shed a baby tooth. Many a child left her office with a little container in the shape of a tooth. She loved the children who visited her clinic.

Legacy of Love
A wife, a mother, a grandmother too,
This is the legacy we have from you.
you taught us love and how to fight,
you gave us strength; You gave us might.
A stronger person would be hard to find,
And in your heart, you were always kind.
You fought for us all in one way or another,
Not just as a wife not just as a mother.
For all of us you gave your best,
Now the time has come for you to rest.
So go in peace, you're earn your sleep,
Your love in our hearts, we'll eternally keep.
We Love You…
