Obituary of Lisa Anita Payne

Please share a memory of Lisa to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Lisa Anita Brown was born on August 30, 1960, in Powhatan, Virginia to Clarence N. Brown and Baylies Simpson Brown. She was converted, baptized, and joined Little Zion Baptist Church at an early age. There she sang in the choir, joined the drama ministry, and hospitality committee. Lisa graduated from Powhatan County Public School System. She was joined in holy matrimony to her husband, Frank Payne on September 22, 1983. Lisa was an avid crafter; designing bracelets, wall décor, and blankets for those she loved. She especially enjoyed cooking, when her health allowed, for her husband and granddaughter. Cutting grass was her "special hobby," it gave her peace and allowed her to spend uninterrupted time with the Lord. On June 16, 2022, Lisa went to be with Jesus, her Lord and Savior. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers; Clarence P. Brown, Earl O. Brown, and best friend; Brenda McFarley. Lisa leaves to cherish fond memories: her devoted husband, Frank Payne Sr.; one son; Frank Payne Jr. (Jerrica), one daughter, Alicia Payne, granddaughter, Maliyah Reams, one sister, Delois Sellers (Leroy); four brothers, Bernard (Karen), Victor, Gerald (Gloria) and Alvin Brown (Gloria); one aunt, Bessie Simpson; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends, one devoted friend, Gail James.
