Please share a memory of Carla to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
The daughter of Robert Mann Sr, and Barbara Taylor Mann, Carla Alicia was born December 18, 1967 in Richmond VA. At an early age she was converted, baptized, and joined Second Antioch Baptist Church. Later in life she moved her membership to Little Zion Baptist Church. She remained a faithful member of the usher board. She attended public schools in Powhatan County. She loved the Lord, spending time with her grandchildren, vacations, cooking, exercise, and ministering to others with a special heart for women's ministry and health and wellness. She loved to sing and laugh. She greeted everyone with a smile. "Lisa" as she was affectionately known, especially enjoyed being around family and friends. She will truly be missed by those who knew her. Carla Alicia Mann went to be with Jesus, her Lord and Savior, on Saturday March 19, 2022. She was preceded in death by her brother Robert Mann Jr., and two uncles Creed Taylor Jr, and Larry Taylor. She leaves to cherish fond memories: her parents, Robert Sr, and Barbara Mann. One daughter, Shauntae Booker (Eddie), two grandchildren Liam, and Noah Booker. Two sisters, Yvette (Frank), and Bridgett Mann. One nephew, Brandon Mann. Six Aunts; Margaret Middleton, Joyce Taylor, Deborah Jones, Betty Claytor (Roger), Dorothy Mason, Rosa Taylor. Three Uncles Barry (Donna), Lawrence (Betty), and Herbert Bailey. And a host of cousins and other relatives and many devoted friends. Don't Cry For Me Don't cry for me, I will be Okay. Heaven is my home now, And this is where I'll stay. Don't cry for me I'm where I belong. I want you to be happy and try to stay strong. Don't cry for me, It was just my time, But I will see you someday on the other side. Don't cry for me I'm not alone. The angels are with me To welcome me home. Don't cry for me, For I have No Fear. All my pain is gone, and Jesus took my tears. Don't cry for me. This is not the end. I'll be waiting here for you When we meet again.
