Obituary of Larry Alphonso Cousins

Larry affectionately known as Bunny, Cheese or Smalls, was born on October 29, 1956 to Frank Cousins, Sr. and Lillie V. Cousins. Larry joined Mt. Calvary Baptist Church on August 27, 1967. Larry graduated from Powhatan High School in 1975. After graduation, he went into the United States Army for a short period of time. Later, he worked for Vepco. Larry retired from the Department of Corrections/Juvenile Division in 2007 after 30 years of service. Larry loved the Pittsburgh Steelers, listening to music, watching westerns, riding the highway, drag racing and having a libation or two. Larry Alphonso Cousins quietly and peacefully entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, March 16, 2022 at his home. He was preceded in death by his father, Frank Cousins, Sr.. Loving and fond memories will always be cherished by: his devoted mother, Lillie V. Cousins; sister, Deborah "Debbie" Cousins; brothers, Frank Cousins, Jr. (Janet) and Marvin "Ronnie" Cousins; niece, Arkeisha Smith (Michael); nephews, Craig, Taurean "T. C.", and Aaron "A. J." Cousins and Gerald "Gee" Brown, Jr.; five great-nephews; five great-nieces; four great great nephews; two great-great nieces; one aunt, Serena Bonaparte; one uncle, William Sam Ross (Helen); and a host of cousins, relatives and friends, several devoted, Walter, Haskins, Ronnie Johnson, Anthony Miller and William "Nick" Payne. "God Saw You Getting Tired" God saw the road was getting rough, the hills were hard to climb God gently closed your loving eyes and whispered, "peace be thine." The many weary hours of pain, the sleepless nights are past God loved you more than anyone and he gave you rest at last. The flowers we lay upon your grave, may wither and decay But the love we have had for you will never fade away.
