Obituary of Katrina Elizabeth Demers

Please share a memory of Katrina to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Born in Arlington, Virginia on August 25, 1970, Katrina Demers was the daughter of Ginger Kay and Lee Kay. Katrina was all about living life to the fullest. She loved to travel. She has been all over the world. She was a nice person who didn't mind helping others if she had it. She loved football, as she would say she was a Cheesehead (Green Bay Packers Fan). Her hobbies were swimming, fishing and hunting. Casper (her CB handle name) swore she was one of the men out there. And you couldn't tell her otherwise. She was all about her grandkids and making them happy. Though she fussed and screamed all the time, she loved taking other kids under her wing or adopt them as she would say. Katrina was loved by a lot of people. Katrina departed this world on October 7, 2021 at St. Francis Hospital. She was preceded in death by her parents and her step-son, Joseph James. She is survived by: her significant other, David James; two sons, Jonathan Hammons and Michael; one daughter, Ashley Demers (Glenn Patterson); three step-children, Jennifer James, Donzel James and Lenox James "aka Boobie"; grandchildren, Azzari, Jaymear, Aerihanna, Jaydiah, Tyliq, Jenaijah and Shyhiem; three brothers, David Kay (Natasha), Scott Demers (Amber) and Lee Demers (Julie); and a host of cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and a special cousin that was dear to her, Mrs. Mary Beth Schaefer and her husband, Jimmy Schaefer. Letter from Heaven When tomorrow starts without me and I'm not here to see, If the sun should rise and find your eyes all filled with tears for me, I wish so much you wouldn't cry, the way you did today, While thinking of the many things, We didn't get to say. I know how much you love me, as much as I love you And each time you think of me, I'll know you miss me too. So, when tomorrow starts without me, don't think we're far apart. for every time you think of me, I'm right here in your heart. Love You! Ashley
