Obituary of Roberta Marie Richardson

Roberta Marie Brown Richardson was born on February 8, 1948 to the late Ida Marie and Harris J. Brown. At an early age she was converted, baptized, and joined New Hope Baptist Church. Roberta worked as a baker at Rack and Sack and Walmart for decades until she retired. She was a devoted and faithful employee and took pride in baking. She loved her children and grandchildren dearly, and enjoyed spending time together, especially at church. Roberta was an impeccable woman, who had a sense of humor and always kept it real. She had her own sense of fashion and loved wearing her 6" heels. On Tuesday, March 23, 2021, she departed this life peacefully at home surrounded by her loving and devoted family. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, John M. Richardson, mother, father, sister, and brothers. Roberta leaves behind fond memories with her four children, Minister John Jr. (Michelle), Jackie (Wayne), Lois (Tony) and William; 15 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; two brothers, Clyde (Annie) Minter and Sam Jones, one brother-in-law, Richard Richardson; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, one devoted, Marian Friend; four devoted friends, Edna Tyree, Ruth Johnson, Gloria Matthews, and Katherine Bolling.
