Dora Marie "Weewee" Harris was born April 26, 1954 in Buckingham, Virginia to Willie Marion and Gertrude Gregory Harris. She departed this life and entered her eternal rest on January 29, 2021. At an early age Weewee accepted Christ and was baptized at Baptist Union Baptist Church. Weewee attended Buckingham County Public Schools. She had several factory jobs including Cradock Terry Shoe Factory and Armstrong Furniture Company. Weewee's last twenty-six years of employment was at Heritage Hall Nursing Home-Dillwyn in the dietary department, where she worked until her health began to fail. She walked to and from work most days and loved the residents at the nursing home. She talked on the phone to several relatives and friends daily and enjoyed watching her reality television shows. She is preceded in death by her by her parents. Her memory will be cherished by; her devoted daughter, RoShelle "Rocky" Reed and husband, Terry Reed of Columbia, VA; two grandsons who was her pride and joy, Jai Jamerson (Cescily) of Raleigh, NC and Earl Thornton (Kendra) Cumberland, VA; one granddaughter, Jateara Davis of Farmville, VA; three greatgrandchildren Ean Thornton, Jai'dyn Davis, and Kai'syn Davis; four sisters, Mary Childress and Patricia Banks-Harris of Dillwyn, VA, Ernestine Anderson of Scottsville, VA and Gertrude Clarke (Michael) of Richmond, VA; four brothers, Leslie Harris of New Haven, CT., Willie Junior Harris of Dillwyn, VA, Samuel Harris (Lucille) of Cumberland, VA and Curtis Harris of Richmond, VA; two aunts Geraldine Scruggs and Edmonia Toney of New Canton, VA; one uncle Charles White, Sr. (Elenora) of Bethesda, MD; a host of nieces, nephews, one devoted Travis Childress, cousins, and friends In My Heart I thought of you today. But that is nothing new. I thought about you yesterday. And days before that too. I think of you in silence. I often speak your name. Now all I have are memories. And your picture in a frame. Your memory is my keepsake. With which I'll never part. God has you in his keeping. I have you in my heart.
