Frank Henry Carter Obituary

On Wednesday, November 10, 2010, Frank Henry Carter left the Trinity Mission Nursing Home in Farmville, Virginia and entered that glorious city of salvation. We praised and thanked God for his mercy in allowing our father and grandfather to live such a long and healthy life.





Frank Henry Carter was born on October 6, 1919 to Robert Carter and Nancy Blanton Carter in Cumberland, Virginia.





Frank was baptized at an early age and joined the Midway Baptist Church. He was a farmer until he joined the Army to serve his country, receiving his honorable discharge in 1945. After returning home he worked at many construction job until he retired.





Frank later met and married Helene Brooks Carter and with this union they were Blessed with many children, and help to rear other family members. We will miss him greatly. He was a wonderful person, and we will always remember the joy and love he shared with us.





He leave to cherish fond memories four daughters, Nancy Lewis (Sherman) of Jacksonville, FL, Everlene Witcher (Alvin, Sr.), Annie Minter (Clyde), Ada Booker, all of Cumberland, VA; eight sons, Tom Brooks (Virgie), Robert Carter (Susan), David Carter, Sam Brooks, all of Cumberland, VA, Earl Brooks of Rice, VA, Alex Brooks (Pat) of New York, and Monroe Brooks of New Jersey, and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
