Obituary of Tim Wyse Johnson

Tim Wyse Jehnson son of late James and Mable Johnson. Tim was the sixth child of 10 children, 3 sisters; Edith, Jennie, Addie and 2 brothers; James and. Jack preceded him in death. Tim Wyse Johnson passed away 10/14/2010. Thursday morning at Laurel Nursing Home, Richmond, VA 'He was born 10/21/32 in Goochland, VA. The third son of James (Mable) Johnson. He. was baptized Ebenezer Baptist Church. He attended a Public School in Goochland, VA. He moved to Lackawanna, NY in 1954, where he worked at Lehigh Cement Plant. In 1963, Tim moved back to Goochland, where he resided until his health began to fail. He entered Laurel nursing home, Richmond, VA in February 2006. He had four children, which one preceded him in death, Charles (Hawk). Papa Smurf as his children loving called him leaves to cherish his memories; one son Time Wyse (Linda) Shelton, two daughters Shirley Johnson, Connie Clark, nine grandchildren, 14 Great Grandchildren, two brothers - Walter (Eloise)Johnson, Goochland, VA, Earnest (Bernice) Caroline County, VA, two sisters; Rosa Anderson, Clifton, VA and Eva Johnson, Buffalo NY. A host of, nieces, nephews and friends. His brother Earnest was very devoted to "The Old Skinner" as he called him. They talked about the bible, Rev. Walter Turner, Rev. Norman Sims was constant visitors, They prayed with Tim often and the aides was inspired when they overhear the prayers. The aides would tell Tim, those preachers can really pray. God Blessed Tim with two devoted cousins Thelma Carroll, Francis Price. They visited him daily and brought him food and toiletries, etc. Tim said, "if the good Lord is willing Nuddy and Knee coming to see me", Mr. Dillion his roommate said, Tim was given an early birthday party and Tim told him, this is the last birthday I'll ever see".
Tim's Favorite phrase, "IfThe Good Lord is Willing"! He truly believed in God.
