Please share a memory of Leroy to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Leroy Wilson, son of the late Henry Wilson, Sr. and Lillian Reese Wilson was born on August 18, 1944 in Mayesville, South Carolina. He attended Mayesville Elementary school and then Eastern High School before moving to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania where he joined the United States Army serving as a combat engineer and leaving with an honorable discharge. He would then a short time later pursue a career in law enforcement and retire after 20 years of service in 1989. After retiring Leroy moved to Farmville, Virginia to spend the rest of his days. He became an avid hunter and outdoorsman doing fishing and things of that nature. Leroy also loved to travel and would drive long distances to see family, friends and handle business. Leroy leaves to cherish fond memories his son, Sean Wilson, one brother; Henry Wilson, Jr., two sisters, Ruth McCutchen and Willie Mae Johnson; and nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. A heart of gold stopped beating Your shining eyes at rest God broke our hearts to prove He only takes the best. God knows you had to leave us. But you did not go alone for part of us went with you, the day He took you home. To some you may be forgotten: to others, just a part of the past. But to us who have loved and lost you. Your memory will always last. The Family!
