Obituary of Rebecca Frances Wade

Rebecca Frances Wade was born on August 20, 1946 in Columbia, Virginia. On December 22, 2018 she was called to her eternal resting place. She was one of seven children born to Garrison and Irene Anderson Wade, who also reared a grandchild, Rose. After graduating from Luther P. Jackson High School, Rebecca moved to New Jersey. She began working as a nurse's assistant at Monmouth Medical Center. Rebecca went back to school to become a Licensed Practical Nurse and dedicated 45 years of service at Monmouth Medical Center before retiring. Rebecca attended Pleasant View Baptist Church in Columbia, Virginia before leaving for New Jersey. She was a current member of McLaughlin Pentecostal Faith Church led by Pastor Elder Caroline Bennett in Long Branch, New Jersey where she served in various Ministries including Treasurer. Rebecca, known as "Becky" or "Aunt Neckie" by many, loved to help others and she loved to cook She leaves to cherish her memory: three brothers, Garrison Leroy Wade, John Edward Wade (Minnie) and Bennie Roosevelt Wade (Naomi); one sister, Janie Fannings; a host of nieces and nephews including, Rose Parish and Daniell Houpe; nephew, Retell Parish; cousins and friends. She will truly be missed by her family and friends.
