Please share a memory of Darnel to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Darnel Brown was granted his angel wings on November 15, 2018. He was born on June 27, 1977 to Lawrence Hansboro and Jane Porter. Darnel was adopted as a baby by George and Katie Brown who preceded him in death. Darnel was educated in the Powhatan County Public School System, where he graduated in 1995. He worked most of his adult life as a Landscaper. Darnel leaves to cherish his memory his Biological parents, Lawrence Hansboro (Mary), Jane Porter; Five sisters, one devoted, Frances Rose (Warren), Bernetta Crump, Carrie Giles, Margaret Brown, and Joyce Taylor (David); Six brothers, Ray Brown (Caroline), Tony Porter-Loftin (Michelle), Frank Porter-Loftin (Stephanie), Lonnie Brown (Keisha), David Lee Porter-Loftin (Delores), and Lawrence Porter-Loftin; Nine aunts, Amy Liggon, Rosa Porter (Ronnie), Barbara Ridley, Mary Williams, Irene Hansboro, Grace Hansboro, Barbara Goode, Rose Cole and Gloria Haskins; two un-cles, Earl Porter (Diane) and Francis Porter; one sister-in-law, Ruth Hampton; a devoted niece, JoAnne Gaskins, a devoted nephew, Leroy Brown; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Going Home by Gertrude Jefferies I never imagined what a joy it would be, to see friends and loved ones wait-ing for me. To be welcomed home with such celebration, escorted in by such a heavenly delegation. As we walked together down golden streets, on the splendors of heaven my eyes did feast. Oh! The sights and sounds of this beautiful place, and majestic being with such beauty and grace. Everywhere I looked were wonders to behold, it's true, the half has never been told. Then angel voices mingled with mine, increased in crescendo as upward they climbed. The air was charged as the praises ascended, and I marveled how all the voices blended; each one becoming a part of the other, unbroken in harmony, beauty and splendor. After a while the voices died down and I took this opportunity to look around. I had one desire, and it was to see the One who made all this possi-ble for me. Then I heard a voice, like a soft gentle rain, saying, 'welcome home, I'm glad you came.' As He gathered me close in a loving embrace, I saw joy and happi-ness shining on His face. "We've so much to talk about, you and I, I've some an-swers for your many why's. I was so happy to be there with my risen Lord, I was so glad that I held fast to His Precious Word. Nevermore will I have to fear sickness or pain, it can never ever touch ma again. No earthly reunion could ever compare with the regal reception that I've re-ceived here. Rejoicing and praising such as I've never known, what a wonderful in-troduction to my beautiful new home!
