Obituary of Virginia Rosetta Morris

Virginia Rosetta Morris, daughter of the late Jessie Lloyd Garrant Sr., and Evelena Wood Garrant was born in Goochland, Virginia on July 16, 1951. At an early age she came to Christ and joined Antioch Baptist Church in Goochland, Virginia under the leadership of Reverend Paul Evans. Virginia attended Goochland Public Schools. Virginia was joined in wedlock to Charles Everette Morris of Powhatan, Virginia on the 23rd day of February 1974 and from this union one son was born. She was employed at Stalley's in Buckingham County, Virginia for a number of years, then later became a Beautician and her last job was a cashier with Sandy Hook Convenience Store. Virginia was always concerned for the welfare of others and she loved her only granddaughter Anayia L. Morris very much. She loved helping and taking care of her baby brother George Garrant. On October 9, 2018 Virginia peacefully went home to be with the Lord. She leaves to cherish her memory one son, Shawn Morris; granddaughter, Anayia L. Morris; two brothers, Jessie Lloyd Garrant Jr., and George Edward Garrant; three sisters, Evelyn L. Johnson, Annie Mae Brice and Helen E. Sharp (Thomas); two sisters-in-law, Thelma Morris and Ernell Jones; three brothers-in-law, Jimmy Morris Sr., Emitt Morris and Renie Morris; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins; two specials cousins, Edna and Dorothy Bailey; and friends, two special friends, Jeraldine Jenkins and Diane Pegram. God knew that you were so tired, And a cure was not to be, So, he put his arms around you And whispered, "Come to Me". The Golden gates stood open God knew you needed rest, His garden must be beautiful For he only takes the best. Although we cannot touch you You're never really gone, For in the hearts of us who love you Your memory lives on. ~The Family
