"Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest." ~ Matthew 11:28
Lee Giles Hobson, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, sister-in-law, cousin and friend was born on August 7, 1948, in Cumberland, Virginia to Warner and Miranda James Giles. On July 20, 2018, at the age of 69, she entered eternal life and went to be with the Lord.
Affectionately known as "Lee, grandma, Momma Lee or Sis" to her family and close friends, she loved passionately, cared for, cooked and devoted herself unselfishly to her family. Lee did not know a stranger. She had such a generous heart and nurturing spirit.
Lee worked in childcare for many years before going to work at several fast food chains as a cook/biscuit maker.
She was preceded in her death by her parents, her baby boys, Earl and Marco Boatwright, her sister Pearl Booker Miller and her brother Clarence Giles.
Lee leaves to cherish her memories; her devoted husband of 34 years Billy Hobson; her daughters, Mary J. Boatwright (devoted), Gail Maragh (Shane), Barbara Boatwright, Shelia Boatwright (John), Shirley Boatwright (Edward), Denise James (Pete), Lisa Ford (Jesse) and Michelle Boatwright; her sons, George and Warner Boatwright; a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; her sisters, Ora Hobson (Peyton) of Cumberland, VA and Christine Taylor (devoted) of Richmond, VA; uncles, Junius James of Riverhead, NY and Roosevelt Gregory of Cumberland, VA; sisters-in-laws, Doretha Hobson (devoted), (Roosevelt, Gregory, Jr.), Mae Trent (Pastor) and Shirley Hobson; brothers-in-law, Jesse Hobson of Cumberland, VA and Steve Hobson of Riverhead, NY; along with a host of nieces, great nieces, nephews, great nephews, cousins, friends and her special friend, Mrs. Ellen Jones.
