Obituary of Vanessa Renee Austin
Please share a memory of Vanessa to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Vanessa Renee Austin was born on August 16, 1960 t the late Eunice M. Austin. She was blessed to be raised by her loving parents Helen Jean Austin Jackson and James B. Jackson as a newborn of 8 weeks old.
Vanessa was educated in the Paterson School System. She attended both Public School #26 and Paterson Eastside High School. Before graduating high school, Vanessa set her mind on joining the military and enlisted in the United States Military Army branch of service.
Vanessa was baptized at an early age at the Christ Temple Baptist Church and remained a faithful member until the Lord called her home on Wednesday, April 25, 2018.
Vanessa was a reliable and dependable employee of The Data Scope Corporation for many years. Her co-workers would often joke of how she was the only employee that would never miss a day of work regardless of the circumstances.
Vanessa Renee Austin! was one of a kind! She was as tough as nails yet the most sensitive soil you could ever meet. She cried when she was happy and cried when she was sad. If you were lucky enough to have Vanessa as your friend, you most definitely had a friend for life.
Vanessa had a mothering soul. She loved children more than anything and all the kids love their Aunt Ness. Vanessa loved her nephews and nieces as much as any mother could love her own child and she made sure they all knew it. The greatest aunt there ever was, IS Aunt Ness!!
Vanessa Had a very special bond with both of her brothers Stuart and Charlie, who made sure they picked on her at any given chance, as any brother would do a sister. They called her "Polly" because she tattled on her brothers every chance she could but "Scallywag" was the teasing name that stuck. She was a wonderful sister who loved her sisters Denise and Linda beyond words. All that mattered to her was her family.
Vanessa was a lifelong resident of Paterson, NJ but her heart loved and lived in Cartersville, Virginia.
Vanessa Renee Austin was predeceased by her mother, Eunice M. Austin, her parents Helen Jean and James Jackson, her grandparents Robert Roosevelt and Lena Bell Austin and her two brothers Charles Nelson Austin and Stuart Barrion Jackson.
She leaves to cherish her memories two sister, Denise Auston-Green (Lemon) and Linda Jean Jackson (Lionel) four nephews whom she loved with all her heart, Teon (Kenia), Stuart (DonnaBelle), Andre (Octavia), Kawan (Latifa) and one niece Lya Chantal and two brothers-in-law, Lemon "Billy" Green and Lionel Pacombe and a host of great nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Vanessa Renee (Delaware) Austin touched the lives of all who knew her, and life will never be the same without her. She was truly one of a kind. A loving soul who cared for all.
We Salute you Vanessa and we will love you forever!
With eternal love, your family.
