"Johnny" by many enjoyed going to church, socializing, and most of all

You wonder why I went away and didn't say good-bye
I couldn't bear to tell you, for it hurt me when you cry
My ship came in at evening time, and it's beautiful to see
for the captain was King Jesus, and he softly beckoned to me
I ran across the Lee way and fell at his feet
He gently took me in his arms, my rest is now complete.
The family!
