Obituary of Glover Theodore Woodson
Please share a memory of Glover to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
God needed another angel in Heaven, so he graciously called Glover Theodore Woodson, Jr. home on Friday, November 24, 2017 following a brief illness.
Glover was born on March 28, 1946 to the late Glover and Julia Woodson. He was preceded in death by three brothers, George Woodson, Joseph Woodson, and Wardell Perkins; and two sisters: Shirley Perkins and Helen Tyree.
He was educated in the Buckingham County School System. At an early age, Glover was baptized and joined Third Liberty Baptist Church.
Glover was loved by many and had much love for others. He enjoyed fishing, hunting squirrels, watching his favorite football team (The New England Patriots) and always loved a good card game.
He leaves to cherish his memory a devoted daughter, Glovernett B. Coleman (Shawn); two sons, Glover Jackson and Glover Ramsuer; Jammie and Timmie Brown whom he loved as his sons; six grandchildren, Aeden and Alana Coleman, Glover Jackson, Jr., Samia, Tamiah, and Kymora Jackson; one brother, Sylvester Alfred Logan (Gloria); four sisters, Julia Easley (James), Nancy Reese, Barbara Duncan (Ed), and Annie Cabell (Alvin); his significant other, Priscilla Moseley; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends; one devoted friend, Charlie Woodson.
"So Go and Run Free"
So go and run free with the angels
Dance around the golden clouds
For the Lord has chosen you to be with him
And we should feel nothing but proud
Although he has taken you from us
And our pain a lifetime will last
Your memory will never escape us
But make us glad for the time we did have
Your face will always be hidden
Deep inside our hearts
Each precious moment you gave us
Shall never, ever depart
So go and run free with the angels
As they sing so tenderly
And please be sure to tell them
To take good care of you for me.
