Obituary of William Clarence Webb

William C. Webb, son of the late Curtis Webb and Bessie Everett Webb, was born April 6, 1928 in North Carolina. At an early age, he accepted Christ as his personal savior. He attended the public school in North Carolina. In 1955, William moved to New Jersey where he met and married Shirley Sims. He and his wife lived happily there for many years. There were no children born to this union. In 1990, they relocated to Virginia to make their home. He then became a member of Tearwallet Baptist Church where he attended on a regular basis. He enjoyed working in the church and was always willing to help in any way he could. He and his wife enjoyed attending services and events at many of the surrounding churches. On Saturday, October 21, 2017, William departed this life at Centra Southside Community Hospital in Farmville, Virginia. He is survived by his wife, Shirley Webb; three sons, Shelton (Pat), William (Laure), and Roche; two daughters, Elaine and Beulah; three step-children, Willie Brown, Jr. (Denise), Sheila Brown, and Alfonzo Brown (Kizzy); numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and step-grandchildren; a sister, Patricia Lawson; an aunt, Ollie Slade; three sisters-in-law, Caroline Johnson (John), Edna Sims, and Evelyn Sims; two brothers-in-law, Howard Sims (Dorothy) and Marvin Smith; nieces, one devoted, Bridgett Webb; nephews, Curtis and James Webb; cousins and friends. After the clouds, the sunshine; after the winter, the spring; after the shower, the rainbow; for life is a changeable thing. After the night, the morning, bidding all darkness cease. After life's cares and sorrows, the comfort and sweetness of peace.
