Obituary of Fancelle B. Liggins

Please share a memory of Fancelle to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Fancelle Brown Liggins, affectionately known as "BooBoo," was born on September 5, 1957 to Lou Bertha Carter and the late Fancy Brown. At the age of ten, she accepted Christ and was baptized at Rocky Mount Baptist Church where she remained a faithful member and served as deaconess. She attended Cumberland County Public Schools. On March 20, 1976, she married Deacon Kevin Liggins. She was employed by the Cumberland County Public School system for over twenty years. Fancelle was greatly loved by all that knew her and was known to have many children. She had a passion for children; they loved to stay at her home and she treated them as her own, always putting everyone's needs before her own. Her god-granddaughter, Nylah, expressed that love. Fancelle loved the Lord, her church family, and pastor. Even through her pain and suffering, she would press her way to the Lord's house. She would always sing "God is a good God" and do a little praise with it. Fancelle showed the love of Christ by opening up her home to everyone, young as well as old. She had a passion for cooking and loved to feed anyone that entered her home. While cooking, Boo Boo would say "taste this" and "how does it taste?" Fancelle was a loving, caring, and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. On Thursday, August 24, 2017, she received her wings and flew home to be with the Lord. She leaves to cherish her memory her loving and devoted husband, Deacon Kevin Liggins; two sons, Fancy Leon Brown and Jaamal Liggins; one daughter, Shervonda Liggins (Marcus); one step-daughter, Keisha Scott; two others whom she considered her children, Gale Wade and Adrian Jones; one grandson, De'Shaun Liggins; two step-grandsons, Tyshon and Dea'Jaun Scott; one whom she considered a grandson, Jomari Wade; mother, Lou Bertha Carter (Robert Lee); one sister, Annie Irene Gilliam; two uncles, Russell Brown (Comoria) and Carl Brown (Doris); one aunt, Alma Brown; mother-in-law, Deloris Liggins; two sisters-in-law, Carol Allen(Charlie) and Arlene Robinson (Joe); three brothers-in-law, Larry, William (Rev. Dyane), and Anthony Liggins (Charlene); one special, devoted cousin, "Baby Jean" Steele; special friends, Marylene Brown, Wanda Childress, JoAnn Shearn, Minister Eurika Tyree, Frances Booker, and Marian Brown; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
