Alfred Jones Evans Obituary
Mr. Alfred Evans was born on May 5, 1922, in Powhatan, Virginia to the late Mr. Grover and Fannie Tinsley Evans. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Margaret Scott Evans; three brothers, Carnell, Douglas and Enos Evans; and two sisters, Gladys Montague and Iris Edwards. Alfred joined Center Union Baptist Church at an early age. He received his education in Powhatan, Virginia, later joining the Army. He retired from Richfood in Richmond, Virginia.
On Tuesday, July 20, 2010 he departed this life at ManorCare Imperial Nursing Facility, Richmond, Virginia.
He leaves to cherish fond memories; his son Rudolph Williams, one granddaughter, Courtney Williams; sister-in-law, Lucille Evans; five nieces, four nephews , one devoted, Charles Evans (Shirley), and a number of great and great-great nieces and nephews and cousins.
