Barbara H. Woodson, daughter of the late Charlie M. and Ruby B. Hendricks, Sr., was born on February 17, 1947 in Cumberland, Virginia. Beside her parents, she was reared in a home with love and affection of sisters and brothers.
She accepted Christ and was baptized into the fellowship of Petersville Baptist Church.
Barbara attended the public schools in Cumberland County where she graduated from the Luther P. Jackson High School in 1966. She worked last and retired from the Rennie's Store in Cumberland, Virginia.
Barbara was married to the late Elbert Woodson and from that union, they had one son. Our hearts are sadden over her sudden passing, but we thank God for the sweet memories that forever lingers in our hearts. Barbara passed away at St. Mary's Hospital on October 6, 2016.
She leaves to cherish fond memories one daughter, Stephanie Hendricks; one son, Rashad Alkin; two brothers, Charlie Morris Hendricks, Jr. and Willie "Duke" Hendricks; two sisters, Ruby Jones (Jerry) and Nellie Blanton (Lynn); two grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and numerous relatives and friends.
