Obituary of Clementine Elizabeth Wade

Clementine Elizabeth Anderson Wade was born October 26, 1952 in Columbia, VA to the late Coatland and Elsie Tanner Anderson. Clementine joined Pleasant View Baptist Church at an early age and remained a member until her passing. She attended the public schools in Cumberland and graduated in 1970 from Luther P. Jackson High School. Clementine was employed with the Craddock Terry Shoe Corporation and later with the University of Richmond as a custodian. After leaving the work force she became a home maker where she enjoyed cooking, baking, talking and caring for her family. She was a kind and soft spoken woman who was about her business. She departed this life on Friday, September 2, 2016 at Central Virginia Community Health Center in New Canton, Virginia. She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Marion, Vanessa and Renee; 2 brothers, Harold and Samuel. She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Arthur Linwood Wade, Jr.; two sons, Anthony M. Wade (Karen) and Arthur L. Wade III; a daughter, Vanessa Wade; 3 grandchildren, Shakisah Ayer, Hakieem Wade and Anthony John Wade; 2 brothers, Gerald E. Anderson (LaVern) and Paul Anderson (Ann); 3 sisters, Minnie P. Giles, Linda A. Hicks and Annette Williams; 2 sisters-inlaw, Louise and Thelma Wade; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends; one devoted friend, Cora Cook.
