Leo Norris Howell was born on February 16, 1957 to Waverly and Queen Johnson Howell in Richmond, VA. After graduating from Powhatan High School Leo served in the US Army. He was last employed by Waste Management. Leo loved country living! Hunting and fishing were his passion! He knew a lot about wildlife and US History. He enjoyed sharing historical facts. Leo also loved his family and friends. He was a devoted uncle who enjoyed spending time with his nieces. Leo often spoke of his faith and he trusted God every step of the way. Those who visited him in the hospital often left feeling encouraged by his faith. He was thankful for all of you, his family and friends. You all showed him such love and support during his lengthy illness. We the family are very grateful for your many acts of kindness. Leo departed this life on Saturday July 30, 2016 in Powhatan, Virginia. He is preceded in death by his beloved aunt, Anna Griffith. He is survived by his parents, Waverly and Queen Howell; his brother, William Howell; sister, Carla Smith(George); nieces, Sierra and Cameryn Smith; 1 great aunt, Donte Mitchell; 2 great uncles, Wayne and Carl Mitchell along a host of other family and friends, of them devoted, Barbara Neal and Cliff Howell.
