To Michael,Jeffery, Patrica, and Rita, your mother was an special angel that leaded all of us through rough time. She taught us about life and wanted us to live it, that why I'm no longer in Cumberland.VA. I have traveled around the world, and lost touch with her. But each time,we met up she remember me and was very happy to me. I have always asked about Rita and Jeffery. She loved her family dearly, and wanted you all to be the BEST. And she was proud of her children. So at least she got to see another Mother Day and enjoyed.
My sincere sympathy goes out to the family.

Mrs. Scales was not only a pillar of our community, and an awesome educator, she was truly a family friend. She and my mom were very close. (Mary Marshall)
I am deeply saddened by her departure from this place called Earth, but I know with no uncertainty that she is now resting in the house of our Lord.
Family, take one day at a time and know that one day, you will be with her again.
Love.
