Obituary of McKinley Crump

McKinley Crump, Sr. a son of the late Winston Crump and the late Minnie Copeland was born in Cumberland County, Virginia on September 28, 1929. He was reared in a home with love and affection of his parents and eleven siblings. "House" or "Money" as he was affectionately known to many; attended Cedar Fork School. He was baptized at an early age and joined the Rocky Mount Baptist Church. He worked various jobs during his life which included Howard Johnson Motel, Captain .Mason in Richmond, Virginia and Baton Mason in Lynchburg, Virginia. McKinley was married to Otella for 60 years to this union six children were born. He loved his family and was a good provider. He also loved fishing, baseball and playing cards. On March 16, 2015, McKinley departed this life in Midlothian, Virginia. He was preceded in death by his daughter Rosaline and his siblings Thomas, Milton, Ida Mae, Willie, Rufus, and Rick Crump. He leaves to cherish his memories: his loving and devoted wife, Otelia Crump; sons, McKinley Crump, Jr., and Vince Crump; daughters, Norine Brooks (Jessie), Daisy Crump and Loyce Crump; eleven grandchildren; nine great- grandchildren; two great-great- grandchildren; one brother, Taylor Winston Crump (Odella); four sisters, Emma Lee Robinson ( John), Dorothy Mae Brooks, Estelle Trent, and Kate Harrell; one brother-in-law, Edward Brooks; two sisters-in-law, Pearl Crump and Emma Brooks; and a number of nieces, two devoted Queen Townsend and Minnie Bolden, nephews, cousins and friends.
