Obituary of Jannie E West

Mrs. Jannie E. Crump West was born in Cumberland County, Virginia on June 25, 1927 to the late Nannie Crump and Moses Booker. At an early age, she accepted Christ as her Personal Savior and joined the Center Union Baptist Church; where her membership remained until her passing. Jannie was a kind and loving person. Even when she wasn't feeling her best, she never complained. God saw that she was getting tired. Her smiling face, kind and gentle ways, will be missed by her family, friends and community. On Sunday, December 14, 2014 our hearts were saddened when Jannie was called from labor to rest. She was preceded in death by her husband, Linwood West; daughter, Willie West Taylor; two sisters, Beatrice Hughes and Sue Crump Trent and two brothers, Wardell Trent and John Crump. She leaves to cherish two grandsons, Lawrence Taylor (Cassandra) and Christopher Taylor (Deloise); two great granddaughters, Candida and Candace; along with a host of nieces, one devoted, Susie A. Robinson; nephews; cousins, two devoted, Lillian Motley and Pearl Cornelius and friends, three devoted, Barbara Lee, Charles Crump and Sybil Gregory.
