Obituary of Bryant Daniels

On the 24th day of May, during the Spring of 1963 in Newark, NJ a beautiful baby boy was born to Cardell and the late Eddie Daniels. They named him Bryant L. Daniels.
Bryant was affectionately known as "Puddy" by his family and friends, a name given to him by his grandfather. Bryant was educated in the Linden School System in Linden, NJ. While playing basketball, he was a star basketball player. Because of his talent on the basketball court, he was known as "Smooth".
He graduated high school in 1981, after high school he attended Union County College. During his high school years, he started dating his future wife, Marita. They were married on April 9, 1983 and from this union they were blessed with two children, a son, Bryant L. Daniels, II and a daughter, Briana N. Daniels.
In October 1989, the family relocated to Richmond, VA where Bryant continued his employment as a Letter Carrier for the US Postal Service. He was employed by the US Postal Service for 27 years. Bryant was an avid lover of sports, but basketball was his true passion. His favorite basketball team was the New York Knicks.
Bryant leaves to cherish his memory, his devoted wife Marita , his son Bryant II, (Mary) his daughter Briana, two granddaughters, Aniyah and Gabriella, his loving mother, Cardell, a sister, Sheila, a loving mother and father-in-law Althea and Willie Peacock, one brother-in-law, Eric Peacock (Lucy), two sisters-in-law, Diandra Burroughs(Terry) and Deirdre Peacock, five aunts, Ruth Bell, Lena Johnson, Linda Branch, Margaret McKenzie, and Jeanie Peacock, three uncles, George Morris, Sr. (Julia) Clarence Morris, Sr. (Karen), and Byron Douglas (Naomi), two great aunts, Mary Jones and Mary Langhorne, one great uncle, Andrew Miles. He also leaves behind five devoted friends, Jamar Lewis, Stephen Mickel, Tyrone Givens, Patrick Nelson and Zack Duran, and a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends..
After 51 years of life and 31 years of marriage, God called his son, Bryant home to rest on Tuesday, October 14, 2014 and our lives will never be the same, but our hearts are eternally changed.
