Mary Lou Smith Brown Campbell, 96 was born on July 30, 1918 in Powhatan County, Virginia. She is the daughter of the late Paul and Allie Robinson Smith. Mary Lou as her family and friends knew her accepted Christ as her personal Savior early in life and joined the Mount Pero Baptist Church, Powhatan, Virginia. She was reared in the Community of Ballsville, Virginia and attended the public school system in Powhatan County. Mary Lou went to join our Heavenly Father on Monday, September 8, 2014 in Richmond, Virginia. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Campbell; two sons, Douglas Brown and Marcus Braxton. She was called Nona to the whole family. Mary Lou cared for every child, as if they were her very own. She took pride in her work and encouraged her children to do their best at what-ever task they began. Left to cherish and carry on her legacy of love and faith are two daughters, Christine Blocker (Phil) and Demitra Barnes (Sol); two sons, Walter Brown (Shirley) and Robert Brown; seventeen grandchildren; sixteen great grand; four great-great grand and a host of nieces, nephews, other family members and friends
