Virginia Gilliam was born on October 23, 1926 in Cumberland County, Virginia to Ned and Willow Hatcher Gilliam.
She attended Cumberland Public Schools. At an early age Virginia was baptized and joined Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, Cartersville, Virginia, where her membership remained.
Virginia never seek employment but she work diligently cooking and caring for her family. She enjoyed talking to everyone she came in contact with.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
She leaves to cherish her memories; two brothers, George Gilliam (Dorothy) and Robert Gilliam (Doretha), along with nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
