Obituary of Earlene Margaret Jones

Earlene Margaret Jones was born October 13, 1955, to the late Margaret Lipsey Boyd and Judeah Boyd. She was the youngest of eight children. Earlene attended school in New York City (Bronx), after which she worked in the hospital there for a time as a Nurses Aid. She married Bernard Jenkins and was blessed with four children; Eric, Shevell, Earl and Latisha Jenkins. Earlene moved to Virginia in the 1980's where she met and married her devoted husband of 26 years, Stephen C. Jones. She was employed as a manager for Pizza Hut for a number of years. Earlene was interested in computers and other such technical information, often working and fixing computer problems of friends and neighbors. She attended Little Zion Baptist Church when her failing health permitted. She was a devoted mother and grandmother and was always willing to help anyone she could if at all possible. She is survived by: her devoted husband of twenty-six years, Stephen C. Jones; sons, Eric Jenkins (Virginia) of Middletown, NY and Earl Jenkins of Richmond, VA; two daughters, Shevell Jenkins of Richmond, VA and Latisha Jenkins (Oscar Sanchez) of Woodbridge, VA; two sisters, Sybil Brown (Charlie) of Cumberland, VA and Yvonne Bailey of New York City, NY; a brother, William Boyd (Vanessa); five grandsons; three granddaughters; mother-in-law, Mary Chris Jones; sisters-in-law, Regina Jones (Peter) and Narcianna Boyd; one aunt, Anita Boyd; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends, two devoted, Randall and Helen Brown.
