Anthony George Foster departed this life on April 13, 2014 in Buckingham, Virginia. He was a beloved son of Ervin and Marion Foster, born on September 17, 1969 in Farmville, Virginia. At an early age, Anthony was baptized and joined the Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Cumberland, Virginia and then as an adult he rededicated his life to Christ at the Union Outreach Fellowship Church in Farmville, Virginia. After graduating from Cumberland High School in 1988, he proudly served his country by joining the United States Army and remained in active duty until 1990 and then joined the National Guard until 1993 when he was honorably discharged. Never afraid of hard work, Anthony was employed by the University of Virginia hospital where he formed lasting friendships and left an endearing impression. Recently, he became employed by the Heritage Hall in Dillwyn, Virginia until his death. Anthony loved his family and friends, he loved to dance, and he loved to make everybody laugh. His memory will forever be cherished and honored by all whose lives he touched. He was joined in death by a special little boy, Thomas Goode, who affectionately called him "Pa-pa." He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Otis Foster and maternal grandparents, Fred and Lorna Dabney. He is survived by his parents, Ervin and Marion Foster; three sisters, Rosalind Taylor (Raymond), Roxanne Vaughan (Christopher) and Angela Harris (Bill); two brothers, Ervin Foster Jr. (Irene) and Scott Foster (Christina); his grandmother, Dorothy L. Foster; five nieces, Erica, Kneisha, Amanda, Kayla and Elexis; eleven nephews, Earl, Antonio, Joshua, Calvin, Christopher, Dajon, Dione, Malik, Jalen, Nicholas, and Eddie; one great nephew, Marquarius; four aunts, Lillian Bolden, Gracie Childress (Junius), Ardell Reed (Glenn), Joyce Booker (James); four uncles, David Foster (Ophelia), Curtis Foster (Frances), Lonnie Foster, and Fred Dabney; a dear friend, Lisa Booker and her children, Bruce, Shantell, and Travis and grandchildren and a host of great aunts, great uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.
