Obituary of Myrtle Ann Jackson

Myrtle Sims Jackson was born on December 23, 1955 in Cumberland County, Virginia. She is the third child born to the late Gary and Georgia Harris Sims. She attended Cumberland Public Schools. At an early age Myrtle was baptized and joined Tearwallet Baptist Church, Cumberland, Virginia, where she remained a faithful member until she relocated to Richmond. After several years she relocated again to Fayetteville, North Carolina. Myrtle worked in the nursing field and as a day care provider until her health began to fail. She lived in an assisted living facility until two years ago when she moved with her daughter. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Alice Irene Miles. She leaves to cherish her memories; son, Donielle Jackson; daughter, Durichee Jackson; three grandchildren, Lamar, Shynail, and Dovantas; one great grandchild; devoted friend, Al Woodard; two sisters, Emma Lewis (Caesar) and Doris Crump (Crawford); one brother, Gray, Jr.; two aunts, Lillian Shelton and Neater Bell Sims; one brother-in-law, Linwood Miles, along with a host of other relatives and friends.
