Obituary of Mary Louise Morris

Mary Louise Morris age 73, born the daughter of Andy and Kish Boatwright in Buckingham County. She departed this life, Tuesday, January 5,2010 in Powhatan, Virginia. Louise was educated at the Bon Brook Public School System in Cumberland, Virginia. She met and fell in love with Deacon Howard Morris, Sr. They had 13 children in their love affair with a romance that lasted for over 50 years. Louise was baptized at an early age and was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church for many years. She later transferred her membership to Little Zion Baptist Church for 35 years. Louise became a Deaconess at Little Zion Baptist Church in 2001. Her spiritual ministry was spent serving on the Usher Board for 35 years, the Women Ministry and sung in the Choir for more than 25 years. Louise a caring person was very devoted to her family and friends. She lived her life to the fullest and enjoy the life she had. Louise leaves to cherish her memories to six loving sons, Willie (Grelia), Michael (Judy), Howard III (Joyce), Harold(Amanda), Paul (Charmine) and Gerald; seven wonderful daughters, Pauline Smothers (Maurice), Maxcine Ross (Frank), Paulette Taylor (Fredrick), Paula, Geraldine, Alethea, and Theresa Morris; 36 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Ernest and Bobby Boatwright; one aunt,Carrie Brown; three sisters-in-law, Sue, Mary and Eva Boatwright; one brother-in-law,Jimmy Donkin; nieces, nephews, cousins, special friends, Ruth Jefferson, Geraldine Brown, Ann Palmore and Barbara Scott and her church family and friends.
