Obituary of Latrice Necole Smothers

Little Miss Latrice Necole Smothers was born August 4, 2009 to Maurice and Natalie Madison Smothers, Jr at University of Virginia Hospital in Charlottesville, Virginia. Latrice had just completed her first year of preschool at Powhatan Elementary School. She was excited about returning to school in the Pre-K 4 program. Latrice was only on earth for a short period of time but she touched so many lives through her bright and full eyes, her smiling face and her bubbly personality. She loved playing outdoors with her siblings. Latrice was your typical child enjoying all the things that kids do at that age. She was a huge fan of Dora the Explorer. Latrice found great enjoyment in watching Dora the Explorer television shows and eating her favorite food; french fries and grapes! On her birthday, August 4, 2013 at University of Virginia Hospital in Charlottesville, Virginia, Latrice was giving a pair wings and she went on to Heaven to become one of God's Little Angels. Latrice leaves her memories to be cherished by her parents, Maurice and Natalie Smothers, Jr; two brothers, Marquis Smothers and Maurice Smothers, III; a sister, Teyanna Braxton; grandmothers, Gloria Baldwin and Pauline Smothers; grandfathers, Pastor Archie Madison, Sr. and Maurice Smothers, Sr.; great grandmothers, Mary L. Madison and Rosetta Smothers; step grandmother, Norma Madison, and step grandfather, Minister Lynwood Baldwin; 3 aunts, Shawnda Madison, Latisha Nevers (Brian), and Shamir Smothers; two uncles, Archie Madison, Jr. (Nicole), and William Smothers ( Latanya); along with a host of great aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
