Obituary of Franklin Roosevelt Bradley

Franklin Roosevelt Bradley was born on September 26, 1937 to the late Phoebe Harris Bradley and Cleveland Granville Bradley. He was the youngest of eleven children. Mr. Bradley joined Mount Zion Baptist Church at an early age and remained a member until his death. He attended public schools in Powhatan and as a young adult went out into the work-a-day world. Later he served in the U. S. Army from which he was honorably discharged in August 1963. He departed this life on July 3, 2013 after an extended stay at the Community Memorial Health Care Center in South Hill, VA. Mr. Bradley was preceded in death by sisters, Mary Morris, Ruth Harper,Nancy Jenkins, Seidad Shaheed and Estelle Miles and two brothers, Granville and Raymond Bradley. Franklin is survived by three sisters, Lillian Slayton, Maude Munford and Rosa Ellen Finney. He is also survived by two brothersin-law, James Miles and Essex Finney, and many devoted nieces, nephews and cousins.
