Obituary of Alvah Edward Walton

Alvah Edward Walton son of Mildred Ann Vaughan Walton and the late Henry Trueheart Walton was born on August 26, 1943 in Powhatan, Virginia. He was the third of four children.
Alvah's early years of education was in the public school system of Powhatan County, Virginia.
Alvah began his Christian journey early in life at Hollywood Baptist Church where he became a Deacon under the leadership of Rev. Smith. When he relocated to Harrisburg, Pennsylvania he attended Goodwin Memorial Baptist Church and was a member of Cedar Street Baptist Church at the time of his homegoing.
While in Harrisburg he worked at Indiantown Gap and Mechansburg Navy Deport for the Federal Government.
He also joined and retired from the U.S. Army Reserves. He was Assistant Chaplain for Mt. Nebo Lodge #43 and Associate Patron of Henrico #78 OESPHA.
He departed this life on December 31, 2009 at Medical College of Virginia.
Alvah leaves to cherish his memory his loving mother, Mildred Walton, three sons, Levelle (Mamie Faye), Anthony (Lillian), and Alvin Walton, one daughter, Tonya Walton, one son-in-law, Thomas Keys, nine grandchildren Angelique, Alexis, Isaiah, Candice, Indigo, Calah, Mercia, Simone, and Solomon Walton, three sisters, Alma Colson, Queen Jones (Bennie), and Bernice Jones, four aunts, Nannie Fisher, Martha Caldwell, Alease, and Barbara Walton, two uncles, Mitchell Walton and Frank Caldwell and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends. A devoted friend Jessie Roots. Devoted niece and nephew Kimberly and Keith Jones.
Alvah was preceded in death by his father, Henry Walton and his daughter Antoinette Walton-Keys.
