Dorothy Boatwright, the daughter of the late Henry and Annie Carter Boatwright was born in Cumberland County on October 19, 1938.
Dorothy was educated at Pine Grove School, in Cumberland, County.
For many years she worked at Domino's Pizza and was later transferred to Bottom's Up Pizza. Yes, Dorothy did love the pizza industry.
Dorothy departed this life on Friday, May 3, 2013, at her residence in Richmond, VA. She was preceded in death by her parents Henry and Annie Boatwright and brothers, James, Earl and Henry, Jr. Boatwright.
She leaves to cherish her memory five sisters, Lottie Goode, Rosa Gaines, devoted sister, Loretha "Pinky" Kirkwood, and devoted brother-in-law, Stanley Kirkwood, Bernice "Peaches" Boatwright and Mollie Boatwright; one brother, Ernest "Rabbit" Boatwright and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews, cousins, friends and devoted companions Ms. Martha Martin and Ms. Veronica Murray.
