Lucy Almeade Taylor Obituary

Lucy Almeade Taylor was born in Powhatan County Virginia on September 13, 1910 to Robinson and Mary Lee Taylor. She was the last of 11 children. Her parents and all of her siblings preceded her in death.





For many years she has been a member of Greenbrier Baptist Church. She attended Powhatan County School System. After school she attended St. Paul's College and Bessie Gurant Beauty School.





She had numerous employments the last being the John Marshall Hotel where she was a dedicated employee for thirty Five years.





After working in Connecticut and Richmond for a number of years she returned to Powhatan where she resided until her passing.





Lucy was a great inspiration to her family. She was loved by all who knew her and she will never by forgotten.





On Wednesday, February 10,2010 she departed this life at Chippenham Hospital in Richmond, Va.





She leaves to cherish fond memories twenty- four nieces and nephews, two devoted nephews, Waverly Taylor and James E. Banks, Sr.; Great nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, one devoted friend, Earnestine Hockaday.
