Obituary of Annie Mae Jones

Annie Mae Jones, a daughter of Thomas Ford and Clemmie Brown Ford was born October 21, 1920 in Cumberland County, Virginia. At an early age she was converted, baptized and joined Petersville Baptist Church in New Canton, Virginia. She attended the Cumberland County Public School. Annie Mae was joined in wedlock to Melvin Jones and from this union three children were born. For many years Annie Mae resided in Richmond where she was employed as a domestic worker. Annie Mae was a loving and kind mother, grandmother and friend. She loved greeting family and friends with a smile and having a long conversation. For about three years she has been in declining health and departed this life on Wednesday, December 2, 2009 at Chippenham Hospital, in Richmond, Virginia. She was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter Rozena, and granddaughter Tanai. She leaves to cherish fond memories two sons, Howard J ones (Rose) and Raymond J ones; two grandchildren, Carl Jones (Justine) and Tiffany Dabney; two great grandchildren, Kayla Jackson and Taylor Jones, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
