Bettie Coleman Harris was born on November 6, 1915 to John and Georgia Lee Coleman in Midlothian, Virginia.
She attended school in Chesterfield County. Bettie joined Mt. Sinai Baptist Church in Midlothian, Virginia.
Bettie was a devoted mother and grandmother. She loved being home caring for her two grandsons after the passing of her daughter, Georgia. Being around family gave her great joy. Bettie was a woman who centered her life around her family. She enjoyed staying home watching television, reading the newspaper, and talking on the telephone with her sister, and a niece, Cassandra. Bettie was a loving and passionate person that cared for
everyone.
On Sunday, March 13, 2016 Bettie departed this life at her grandson Alvin's house in Cumberland, Va.
She leaves fond memories to be cherished by her, two grandsons, Alvin Coleman (Lucy) and Alvah Coleman; one sister, Christine Miller; a host of nieces, nephews, one devoted, John Jones (Antoinette), cousins and friends.
