Obituary

Cynthia Denise Johnson was born on February 22, 1991, in Prince Edward, Virginia, to Samuel D. Johnson Sr. and Carol Miles Johnson Pride.

She attended Chesterfield County Public schools and graduated from Clover Hill High School in 2009.

She accepted Christ and became a member of Mount Zion Baptist Church in Powhatan, VA.

Cindy worked as a caregiver in group homes and private duty care. But her occupation was taking care of family, friends and just people in general. All aspects of her life were a true testament to her loving and caring nature, both personal and professional.

Cynthia, lovingly known as Cindy, entered the heavenly gates of our dear Father at the age of 34, on August 11, 2025. She is preceded in death by her father, grandmother, Alice Sims Miles and aunt, Allison Miles Cox .

Cindy's life is joyfully celebrated by: two sons, Isaiah Johnson and Ryan Johnson; her devoted mother and step-father, Carol Pride (Lawrence "Lou" ); her step-mother Joyce "JoJo" Johnson; one sister, Tiffany Johnson (William); two brothers, William "Woody" Johnson and Samuel "Gee" Johnson Jr.; two step sisters, Catherine Winfield and Sharna "Minnie" Foster; one step-brother, Davon Simmons (Germany); three nieces, Ja'Kayla, Je'Lesa and Madison; four nephews, Jayceon, Jordan, DaMari and D'Aeri; and a loving best friend/sister Charda Juniel; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
