Obituary
Frank James Porter was born on June 26, 1973, in Powhatan, Virginia, to Jane Porter and Lawrence Hansboro. Frank, affectionately known as Frankie, was a proud native of Virginia. He attended Powhatan Elementary and Louisa County Schools before becoming an AC Delco certified mechanic.
A hard-working man, Frank spent his days as a truck driver for Goode's Hauling and his evenings mastering countless trades. Whether behind the wheel or under the hood, he brought dedication and skill to everything he did.
Frank was a family man and loved spending time with his wife and children just relaxing at home. He cherished every moment. Frank also had a deep love for working on cars and trucks, often found with tools in hand and grease on his shirt. He enjoyed spending time outdoors cooking on the grill. His voice was a gift—he could sing any genre placed before him, from gospel to R&B, rap to country—with soul and passion that moved those who listened. He was a devoted member of Greenbrier Baptist Church in Powhatan, where his voice and spirit left a lasting impression.
