Dennis Wayne Rice was born on January 30, 1973, to Virginia Ann Ragland Rice and Paul Rice, Sr., in Richmond, Virginia. He accepted Christ as his savior early in life at Cartersville Baptist Church. He went to Cumberland High School.

Dennis was a man of many words, and some we won't say today. If you knew Dennis, you would understand what we are talking about. He was a painter and handyman by trade. His hobby was working on cars and enjoying going to the racetrack.

Dennis loved all his family, especially his children. When he talked about his children Dylan and Selina, he had a smile on his face and always said they were his world.

Dennis went home to be with his Lord and Savior on March 14, 2025, in a car accident in Cumberland, Virginia.

Dennis leaves to cherish his memories his children, Dylan and Selina Rice; parents, Virginia Ann Rice and Paul Rice, Sr.; siblings, Paul Rice, Jr. (Alice), Patricia Rice Stanley, Michael Rice ( Wendy), bonus sister, Shannon Rice; three nephews; six nieces; devoted partner, Billie Renee Edmonds and bonus children; a host of other relatives and friends.

Broken Chain

We little knew that morning that

God was going to call your name.

In life we loved you dearly.

In death we do the same

It broke our hearts to lose you,

You did not go alone;

For apart of us went with you

the day God called you home.

You left us peaceful memories

your love is still our guide;

and though we cannot see you,

you are always at our side.

Our family chain is broken

and nothing seems the same,

but as God calls us one by one

the chain will link again.
